Where are you located?

I am personally based in Alton, Hampshire, the business trades in Hampshire and Surrey.

What does your business do?

At Fernished Landscaping, we provide a complete landscaping service from initial garden design through to full installation and ongoing upkeep.

We work closely with clients to create outdoor spaces that suit their needs and how they want to use their garden, whether that’s a full transformation or improving existing features. Alongside builds, we also offer one-off services such as hedge cutting, patio cleaning and sealing and more.

Our focus is on delivering practical, well-finished gardens that are built to last.

How did it all begin? What drive you to start the business?

It started with a clear idea of building something of my own, taking the satisfaction I’ve always had from creating and turning it into my own business. I wanted to have control over the quality of work, the standard of finish, and the overall experience clients receive. Like many new businesses, once we launched, we quickly realised the importance of adapting. The reality of running a business teaches you fast, and while our original idea has evolved, it’s something we plan to revisit as we continue to grow. That combination of wanting to create, improve, and build something long-term is what really drove me to get started.

What are you personally passionate about the most? What motivates or drives you?

What drives me most is delivering gardens that clients are genuinely proud of spaces that match their vision and how they want to use them.

A big part of that motivation comes from trust. When customers recommend us to friends and family, or bring us back for further work, it shows we’ve delivered not just a good finish, but a service they felt confident in.

Knowing that clients trust us to prioritise their interests and deliver quality work is what pushes me to maintain high standards and keep improving.

Who is your ideal customer?

Our ideal clients are homeowners or businesses looking to create a high-quality outdoor space that’s built to last, rather than a quick or temporary fix.

We work best with clients who value good workmanship, clear communication, and a well-planned end result. Many come to us with an idea but want guidance on the best way to achieve it, and we help shape that into a practical design that fits both their budget and expectations.

The best projects are always a collaborative process, where there’s a shared focus on getting the details right and delivering a finish everyone is proud of.
