What does your business do?
I provide what’s known as concept art, design and illustration services to aid in the production of videogames, movies, animations, and other creative endeavours. Throughout my career I’ve been fortunate to work on established intellectual properties (such as Halo for the XBOX), and to develop new IP’s with clients. The latter is quite challenging in a fun way, as there is no previous template or guideline to default to. Everything is new. Everything has to be imagined and designed by my department. In my spare time I’m currently writing and illustrating a novel, which is testing all my creative muscles at once. It’s a lot of fun, and I’m grateful I get to do this for a living.

What are you personally passionate about the most? What motivates or drives you?
When I was around five, I received an Nintendo 64 console as a Christmas gift. A few years later, my dad took me to the cinema to see the first movie of The Lord of the Rings. Both had a tremendous impact on me, and in many ways defined who I am today.

When I work on projects, I’m hoping that they will have a similar effect on someone out there. Entertainment for entertainment’s sake is the least the medium has to offer; When at its best, it can shape and inspire people to be a better version of themselves. Its effects go beyond the length of the videogame, or the duration of the movie. They leave a long lasting effect on those who engage with them.

Entertainment has the power to be a positive force, and to create good work for this purpose is what drives me to do better.

Who is your ideal customer?
Someone who is passionate about their work. Who believes in it. Ideally they are the driving force behind the project, such as the founder of a creative studio, or the director/art director of a project. Realistically, these people are extremely talented, and given infinite time, would probably be able to create the project themselves.

The problem I seek to solve is that one. They don’t have infinite time. That’s where I step in, and help them visualise what’s in their mind, so that a project might be completed in time and on budget.

What type of business owners would you like to connect with?
People who are involved in the entertainment industry in any capacity. Anything to do with videogames, animation, film, tv, books, advertising etc.
